As a wedding videographer I more often than not have to tell brides important information about their wedding video production that should be common sense. These simple rules can seriously be the difference between a good wedding video and a great one that you will enjoy for years to come and some simple intervention by the bride-to-be is more often than not essential.

Bridal Preparation :  If you are going to have your bridal prep filmed then make sure that the videographer arrives before your makeup is complete. To get a perfect overview of the preparations, your hair needs to be done and base foundation done as well so you already look great and then filming can concentrate on things like eyes and lips..the finishing touches. You need this aspect of the shoot to show the before and after and when you are ready to change into your gown, get the videographer to film things like the bridesmaids lacing you up and finish off with special things like putting on your earrings. When it comes to timing here remember that the videographer needs to be around 30 minutes ahead of you so they can setup at the ceremony venue and still be ready and waiting for you to arrive. (more…)
